FAQ

Common questions.

How much does a Wahu eBike cost?

A one-time GHS 700 starter fee when you collect the bike, then GHS 420 a week for 78 weeks (18 months) — paid through mobile money or bank transfer. The weekly price bundles the bike, service, insurance, training, the Hero app and warranty. After week 78, the title transfers to your name and the bike is yours, free and clear. Start riding →

What happens after 18 months?

The bike is yours. The title transfers into your name. You stop paying weekly. Your only ongoing cost is charging — about GHS 35 a week — versus a petrol rider who is still paying GHS 280 a week for fuel for as long as they ride. Start riding →

Where can I charge?

At home overnight on any standard outlet — the home charger ships free with every bike. At any Wahu charging station — find the nearest one in the Hero app and pay with mobile money. Or anywhere with power, since the batteries are removable. Start riding →

What's included in the weekly payment?

The bike itself, all routine service, third-party insurance, rider training, the Hero rider app, manufacturer warranty, and 24/7 support. A breakdown does not become a bill. Start riding →

What if I can't pay one week?

We know some weeks are slower than others. Here's how it works:

  • We deduct GHS 70 per day from your balance to keep the bike active (Monday to Saturday — Sundays are free).
  • You can go up to GHS 420 negative before the bike switches off.
  • That gives you up to a full week of breathing room to top up and keep earning.
  • Top up any time through the app and the bike comes straight back on.

No surprise fees. No repossession for a slow week. Start riding →

How do I sign up?

Register at rider.wahu.me with your phone number. Onboarding usually takes a day or two — once approved, you collect the bike from your nearest Wahu hub. Start riding →
